Yes. 27th December is the date to remember. Forget about it and I will never forgive you.
And yes, I love receiving presents.*hints* =)).

This post is like part 2 of my pre-birthday posts. haha. Remember to read the 1st one.=).

Frankly speaking, I don't have a fixed list of stuff that I must have. Actually, I welcome any presents that I will use and like, gifts that suit me and has sincerity. People also say it’s the thought that count and I agree with that. Haha. I have to admit I am really very picky about stuff.

No-nos when buying presents for Nicole

Yes. I love my melody and hello kitty. However, please don’t buy them for me, unless you are a sanrio fan too. Even though I like my melody and hello kitty, but I don’t like all the items that have them on it. In addition, if one is not a sanrio fan, they would not understand whether the picture/figurine is disfigured or not.

No soft toys please. I feel that soft toys are like special, thus shouldn’t be given that easily and should be given by special and close people only. So far, I have only asked weili to buy me a soft toy. But that was before I decided that soft toys should be given by special and close people only. So weili, it’s not that you are special.

Dolls. No polly pocket please. I love the older version of polly pocket and hates the new version. The old version has ceased in production, thus no longer selling. I like the old version of polly pocket, but not the new one.

No make-up or facial products or lotions please.

No chocolates. I like chocolates, but not as presents. Haha.

To those who need some help, this is my current wishlist/wants. =). I will update it whenever a new desire/want pops up in my mind. As you can tell, the list is not fixed. haha. =). Thus, there is no need to restrict yourself by getting only whatever that I have listed. Like what I say earlier, I welcome any presents that I will use and like, gifts that suit me and most importantly, as long as the gift has sincerity.

As you can see, the things I like are darn random and there is no certain style. Haha. In conclusion, there is no specific category of present that I would prefer the most. At the end of the day, I still love gifts that is personalized and that has sincerity the most. Sketchbook filled with photos and friends’ sincere messages is the best. =).

I got a new camera!!! =))))

I have told some last night over msn right after I got my new camera. I am like over the moon.=)

I was using my lappy when my dad came into my room.

Dad: Nicole, this is for you. *and he passed me the Harvey norman plastic bag*
At first, I was wondering what it is. Then I look into the bag and saw the canon s90 box!!

And yes, I got a new Canon S90!

I TOTALLY LOVE MY NEW CAMERA. PLAYED AROUND WITH THE FUNCTIONS FOR A WHILE, THE CAMERA IS DARN GOOOOOD.

But I am not going to bring my new love out till I am familiar with it. =)))

Leify! One year has passed and it’s your birthday again!

I am sorry for not keeping my promise.

Due to projects and research, I have been seeing lots of advertisements online. I have a number of advertisements that I like. Some I think are darn cool, some darn attractive and beautiful and some darn creative. Therefore, I decided to post the ones I like on my blog. Whenever I see ads that I like, I will post them up here. =). I will call such posts Ads Inspirations. Haha.

I think the Colgate: Don’t forget campaign/ad in Thailand is darn cute. The idea is unique to me as I have not come across something like this before. It may not be new to some of you all. But it’s definitely new to me.=).

Colgate would usually have annual events, where they would gives out ice cream and candies to remind target consumers about taking care of their teeth. This may sound weird to some of you all. Giving sweet stuff to promote dental health??

The actual fact is that the stick of the sweet stuffs carries a hidden message. As seen in the advertisement, after the consumers have eaten the sweet, the tip of the stick, which is shaped like a toothbrush, shows the hidden message, “Don’t Forgot” and the Colgate logo. I feel that this campaign is good as it brings consumers attention to the message and reminds people to brush their teeth, with Colgate.

I seriously like this campaign. Darn cute can. Haha.

Why does it have to be like this?

Having grown up in a relatively comfortable environment, enjoying my childhood happily, without any worries, I feel that sometimes, I tend to take things for granted. Having been pampered since young, we tend to be rather self-centered and neglect our surroundings. Yes. You may argue that you are not like that. It doesn't really matters to me.

I have to admit that I am rather self-centered at times, doing things my own way and refusing to listen to others. And sometimes, we grumble about not having enough, when to others, to own just 1/10 of what we have is like a dream come true for them.

Recently, I realize I have been taking more notice of my surroundings wherever I go. For example, looking out of the car and bus, noticing the sights that pass by. I am also treasuring the things I have more. Treasure what you have, don’t regret only when it disappears. By the time it is gone, it would be too late.

One of my friends “How well do you know me” quiz had this question.

WTH. In end September, O2 was having this sale and then I bought two sets of fake nails from them at $6.90 each. It was already at discounted price. However, today when I went to the shop again, the price dropped to $1.90 each. WTH. If I bought it like today instead of in September, I would be able to save $10 and buy like 5 more sets. *grumbles*. SERIOUSLY!! =((((

I feel like going bintan. Feel like just retreating there for a whole week. Thinking about it. However, if I were to go there, I would be going there during Xmas week, and spend my Xmas and birthday there. That would be darn shiok. Thinking thinking thinking.

Darn tempted to the maximum!

I have a stupid sister. This is a conversation we had just now.

Sis: Jie. What you want? Crepes, pizza, mee goreng, fruit tarts, muffins or choco chip cookies?
Me: Why?
Sis: Cause I want to bake.
Me: (Look at the recipes she passed to me) crepes then.
Sis: No. crepes cannot. I want to bake. So mee goreng and crepes can not
Me: Then u asks me choose for what. Ok then. Pizza.
Sis: Cannot. Pizza is hard.
Me: Then you list them for me to choose for what!!
Sis: Anything but the last 3 (in the recipe)
Me: Ok. Then fruit tarts
Sis: Cannot. No custard at home.
Me: Means only got two choices what. Idiot. Waste my time.

And off she goes to bake cookies. Seriously. She could just tell me from the start cookies or muffins. Stupid sister!

I realize it has been sometime since I last bake. When I was in secondary school, I used to bake. I remember my cookies often receive praises from my friends. Maybe I will bake again one of these days, when I have the mood. Then I will share my cookies with you all. =))
